Introducing Joey Guila: A Man Of Many Talents

Posted by Staff 6:47 PM, under , | No comments

If laughter was medicine, comedian Joey Guila has your prescription.  A complete entertainer on stage, he takes you through a journey of Old School and New School with his act and impersonations.

His multicultural style of comedy hits home for all audiences, whether you watched his show in Hawaii or Hong Kong, you left crying and his mission was complete.  In 2003 Joey won the regional 'Kings of Comedy' competition ran by Latham Entertainment who is the founder of 'The Original Kings Of Comedy', which included, Bernie Mac, Cedric 'The Entertainer', D.L. Hughley and Steve Harvey.  His tour with Latham Entertainment then enabled Joey to perform in venues such as MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Universal Amphitheater in Hollywood.

But before becoming a comedian, Joey was a licensed cosmetologist at the famous Jose Eber Salon in  Beverly Hills.  Until now, he still laughs at the fact that he was the only straight Filipino hairdresser in Rodeo Drive.

Now Joey is the current host of 'That's My Jam,' which is a top ten video countdown with a comedy twist and can be seen on MYX.  Some of his past guest on the show include P. Diddy, Justin Bieber, and Pitbull to name a few.  In addition, you may remember Joey from his appearance on Showtime when he was once of the performers on the Pacific Rim Comedy that aired on New Years Eve in 2009.
